This Year in Review
This year, because of God's provision through you, we were able to sponsor 11 Christian camps for over 600 traumatized children! Additionally, throughout the course of the year, camps, retreats, and conferences sponsored by Mission 823 partners hosted orphans, widows, families of heroes who gave their lives and refugees from all over the country at our base in Western Ukraine. Gospel ministry, church planting and humanitarian operations continue under wartime conditions. You are saving and rebuilding lives in Ukraine and we love and appreciate every one of you.
- Camp Willow Park was at capacity in 2025 with 11 fully funded camps and is booked solid for 2026. Two-thirds of necessary funding has been raised for the 2026 season.
- Mission 823 purchased two shuttle buses for our camps, tripling our transport capacity.
- Ten months of support has been raised for the Burla Family, an adoptive family with ten children. Ivan, the father, is legally blind and pastors a local church.
- Donated solar generators have all been sold and proceeds allocated to various projects.
- God’s people funded the home restoration for a refugee family with 17 children. Funds have been deployed; repairs are in progress. This is the Yaremchuk family, five family members are currently serving on the front.
- Camp Willow Park major upgrades phase 2 were completed, phase 3 exterior starting soon.
- Three American teams volunteered as camp counselors and trauma therapists: First church groups in 3 years. Three churches are scheduled to serve in 2026, including one for the first time to Ukraine.
- Firefighting gear and medical supplies delivered to front-line first responders and clinics.
- One thousand water filters delivered for outlying areas where infrastructure is destroyed and people have no access to clean water.
- Disc Golf Course and Pidhaichyky Family Park construction underway.
- Movie screening “A Faith Under Siege” - over $20,000 was raised for critical programs.
- Water filtration unit purchased, built and deployed in Oleksandrivka supplying 30,000 residents with clean water.
- Front Line Church Plant in Kharkiv (Saltivka) experiencing growth under heavy fire. Men and women professing faith in Christ and being baptized.
Because of your vision, action and faithfulness, thousands of lives have been touched by the Gospel, children and families have been rescued and souls are finding healing from their terror and trauma. Thank you for your partnership, prayers and willingness to go with us where many cannot.
Prayer Requests:
- Please continue to pray for Amy - she had her cancer surgery and the surgeon was able to get all of the cancer with clear margins and no spread. Now we will be meeting with doctors to decide next steps. Please pray for God's guidance as we make these decisions. We are believing God for complete healing and recovery.
- Pray continue to pray for Shawn's mother, Pamela - she is dealing with cancer as well, and is also being treated for some major heart issues. Pray for us as we help support her and for her healing as she deals with these issues.
- Pray for the orphans, widows, traumatized and displaced children of Ukraine, many of whom will come to our camps. There will also be other camps, retreats, seminars and groups using the property for Christian ministry throughout the off-season.
- Pray for Taras (our Ukrainian Director) and Shawn (President of Mission 823). Both of these men need prayer as they do the work of the ministry and expand our impact. Pray for laborers to help us in this work. We are actively searching for missionaries to help us expand and strengthen our efforts for the children and families of Ukraine. Do you feel a call from God to serve? Know someone who does? Send them our way and let's have a conversation. It is time for bold faith and courage. Mission 823 can serve as your mission organization, provide training and support and put you to work right away, either short-term in Ukraine or full-time here with us in the States!
- Pray for peace in Ukraine. If the war concluded today, there would still be generations of rebuilding and recovery requiring the support of non-profits like Mission 823. We are here on the ground for the long-haul. Pray for strength, wisdom and resources to continue to grow this great work.
There are multiple opportunities through Mission 823 to fulfill your calling, answer your prayers to serve, invest in the lives of others and make a difference that will save lives today and for eternity. Contact us to find out how Mission 823 can help you fulfill your purpose.
God Bless you all our Mission 823 Family! Merry Christmas from the Sullivans and the entire Mission 823 team. Thank you from the families and churches of Ukraine! THANK YOU and God bless you all! We need and appreciate your prayers, support and encouragement.
